Cause Description:
The Skewed & Screwed Revue is a variety show on a mission! Through monthly fundraising events, we work to offer financial aid to members of the Massachusetts GLBT/Queer community who are in the most need of assistance. While we wish to help any members of that community who need our help, we do place an emphasis on the T, simply because we know firsthand how few resources exist specifically for transgender individuals and their families, being a transgender man and his queer-identified fiance. Until we are able to start our own nonprofit organization and help members of our community directly, we are doing everything we can to support the Transgender Emergency Fund based in Worcester, MA. A portion of proceeds from each monthly show is being donated to TEF. We will also donate 50% of all funds raised via iGive to the TEF until we realize our dream of starting a new nonprofit. To be clear, the name and intent of the Skewed & Screwed Revue is meant only to reflect upon the cause and not the gender, orientation or political leanings of any performers or anyone else working to help the cause.
