Mission: The SFCC's mission is to help young people ages 12-24 develop their job and academic skills, leadership abilities and environmental awareness by engaging them in outreach, conservation and community service projects in benefit of local neighborhoods. Description: The San Francisco Conservation Corps (SFCC) is a job and academic training organization serving young people ages 12-24. Corpsmembers develop their job skills, leadership abilities and environmental awareness by completing outreach, conservation and community service projects throughout the city. Simultaneously, they participate in educational programs such as high school diploma and GED preparation, habitat restoration classes, personal and professional development coaching and computer literacy training. The SFCC has engaged more than 2,000 young people in almost three million community service hours since 1983.
